Our Journey

As mentioned, after we began photographing and starting our small business while still in school, I named the business Mikayla Early Photography. Immediately after becoming a mom of beautiful twin boys, I knew I wanted to rebrand my business and name it after them. Our business name comes from my children, who are my pride and joy. When I first began photographing, I was only comfortable doing portraits of one person at a time, overtime and with practice I began feeling more comfortable with trying new things, adding more people into photos. After a few months, I began having people reach out to me and they were wanting to book sessions; which is when I decided to start a small business.

Going from being scared to photograph more than one person at a time, to loving photographing large crowds just goes to show to always follow your dreams, and practice really does make perfect!

Photography is my sweet escape. It is something that I have always-and I mean always- been passionate about. I find it amazing how we can stop time with a photograph. I love that we are able to cherish memories/moments forever because of camera's...What a beautiful thing.
